Our little DoodleDees are hard at work organizing and tidying up the Workshop and Showroom in the new Family Factory. Everything is pretty hush-hush as they work under tight security (example above!) to get the exciting new website ready for the millions of visitors they're expecting.
As it turns out, though, they need your help! Although they've been trying to think of every last detail, they're sure they've missed something only a customer could spot. So, the DoodleDee CEO has come up with an idea...

You and your family (the kids - and maybe even the husbands - will LOVE the new site!) could win one of five golden tickets to enter the new Doodlekins site before anyone else does and create a FREE set of 150 labels!
This is a rare opportunity to help the DoodleDees shape the site and make it amazing for you and your fellow customers.
Requirements:
- We are scheduling the Family Factory tour Wednesday, 12/8. 5 winners will be given special access to the site on that day and will need to spend at least 30 minutes testing all features both on the site as well as in the Workshop, between 8am and 2pm Eastern time.
- You can be an existing customer or never shopped with us before, live in the USA or Canada.
- We ask that you record your experiences in an email, and create a list of any issues or concerns you see, and provide this before 3pm Eastern time on Wednesday.
- On the main part of the site, you will be recording links that don't work or instructions you don't understand.
- Most of your time would be spent in the Workshop, where you will create your family labels. You should list any difficulties you experience choosing accessories or sizing the characters, anything confusing about the design process, and anything you think needs improvement in the functionality. We ask that you add/remove accessories, change colors, and try to trip up the design utility.
- Once you have created your family labels, you will need to make a mock purchase and complete checkout through the cart to test it's functionality, but no credit card is necessary. As you complete the checkout process, we ask that you list any broken links, confusing instructions, or any failure in functionality.
Your report will be used to edit and fine tune the the site on Thursday for it's expected launch on Friday 12/10! And, you will have our DoodleDees undying gratitude and eternal love.

Contest ends Monday 12/6 11:59pm Eastern. 5 Golden Ticket Winners will be chosen Tuesday 12/7 and announced on the blog. Winners will need to provide their email address to receive their access instructions for the tour. We suggest you subscribe to the blog to receive the announcement post in your email box in case you forget to come back, but it's not required.
Our Golden Tickets don't come with a chocolate bar, but we think you'll find our family labels are very sweet! :)
I would LOVE to test the new site. I think Doodlekins ROCK. I bought my "Save The Date" address labels and absolutely LOVED them. I have a blast trying to find things that are wrong. I do client-server software and realize the importance of testing. I've love to be one of the people saying what is wrong instead of hearing that my stuff is broken! LOL Ultimately I cannot WAIT to see the new site. *raising hand* PICK ME!
ReplyDeleteAs a HUUUGGE fan of Doodlekins I have been anticipating the arrival of the new site... I would be OVER THE MOON to have the opportunity to have a first look and test out some of its gadgets. LOL! I'm a pretty good critic and would be honored if you picked me to be a golden ticket holder.
ReplyDeleteI think it would be fantastic to test the new site. I do alot of online purchasing and have had a chance to experience all kind of websites (some good and some NOT so good!!) I love your products, I remember sitting down one day looking at buying some family labels for Christmas last year and wanted to order them, I had a newborn at that time (my 5th) and got distracted....never got back to order after that!! That is the story of my life!! I am really looking forward to seeing what is new and improved with the new site and hopefully getting to place a "mock" order!!!!! Merry Christmas to all!!! ReplyDeleteI would be thrilled to test out this new site! I adore my Doodlekins address labels and seals, and just had fun putting the Christmas labels on my Christmas cards. (Also, I would have no problem testing out the site in that time frame, as I have started working afternoons only.) I would have a blast playing around on the site, experimenting with with accessories, colors, etc. Fingers crossed here! :) Rita S.

I have been patiently (ok, not so patiently) waiting for the new website in order to order new labels. I have used the old website for myself as well as gifts and will be able to test it to and experiment with all the options. *jenny fitzgerald

I've been ordering my address labels with doodlekins for about 3 years now. I usually purchase them around Christmas time for our Christmas cards. It's been fun to save them and see how our family has changed over the years ( bunnies, cats, new baby!). It was fun to do our engagement and wedding labels too! I'm a huge fan of the product and am super excited for the site updates and the ability to preview how the product will look before ordering! I'm extremely detail oriented and have a keen eye for making things user friendly. I'm pretty picky and want my purchases to be just right, which I think will lend itself nicely to critiquing the site. ;0) Danielle L.
