Past events...
We had a Facebook contest on Memorial Day and the next day, giving away a free totebag to a military family! They created the most incredible posts on our wall, and included photos. We sure are lucky to have such great customers, and such great people taking care of our country! We ended up picking two winners, they were so close, and giving away gift certificates to those who entered.
My husband Travis is a CW2, Blackhawk Pilot who is currently serving in Kuwait. When he left for his deployment our two girls were 2 months and 1 and a half. We feel sad as he misses first steps, a recent first birthday, Christmas, and the list goes on. But we are so blessed with todays technology and are ...so thankful for digital cameras, emails, cell phones and Skype. As we finish the deployment soon, we are so excited to be a family again and really for the first time since he has no idea what it's life to live with 3 girls! It was all so new when he left. Our 2 year old is excited because she has a list of things she is asking for that mom has said no about, so she's going to ask daddy! ; ) Babies grow so fast! When we take this picture again it will look so different!
My husband Steven is in the army. We will be celebrating our four year wedding anniversary next month, and have two little ones. Our son Noah is 2.5 and our daughter Lily is seven months. :) He has been deployed six times to Afghanistan and Iraq, with the most recent being shortly after our daughter was born. While he ...was on this past deployment, my parents taught Noah that "daddy was away making the peace" - anytime you asked him where his daddy was, he would tell you that he was off making peace and shooting the gun. ;) I am so incredibly proud of my husband, and I know that our children are too. ♥ Thank you!
